So Platte @ 11 Mile Canyon 06Apr17

I hit 11 Mile today - I arrived @ 10am among a few fishermen. I was again frustrated with lost fish on the first 5 of 7 hook ups - whaaaaat? I had a different rod (used Winston 4wt), a different rig, a different river, different fish and still performed oddly. Hmmm... the non-variant is me. Fortunately again things changed and I fared much better in the PM. I landed many fish but no browns. I caught two nice cutbows on barr's emerger and awesome midge, a couple of righteous cutthroats on same, and a number of other rainbows and cutbows on same. My "luck" changed when I changed from UV RS2 to barr's emerger (and the BWOs started showing up) - also, the awesome worked whereas the KF Flasher midges did not.  Oh, I did jack on the egg sucking micro-leech. I caught nothing on the red zebra weight either. Plenty of fish still having sex; tons of very nice fish visible throughout the river - most summarily ignored my offer - including a hour of dry fly changes, all of which got looks but all rejections on various dry midge imitations - sheesh. The river is low and gin clear and in great condition. Spring has sprung in 11 Mile. Here are the nice ones....
