I understand it's a late post for MA Sep25 but we've had a heck of a month. It's not about that so let me say I focussed here on the somewhat recent but definitely more obscure artists to much of the planet (less so to me or you, if you follow my musings occasionally). To the entry, everyone represented here writes killer songs and plays very well. Enjoy.
- Caitlin Canty @ Green Mtn Bluegrass Fest 'High On A Lie' 25Sep25 - Beautiful voice for Americana offers... everyone wants to collaborate.
- Cat Clyde in Oslo ‘Wild One’ 11Sep25 - Great writer and voice; hard to ignore.
- Sharon Silva on SoCal Sound ‘People to Please,’ ‘Monogamy,’ & ‘Hold It Down’ 03Sep25 - Completely one of my favorite songwriters. Now solo offers but always wrote and sang the best songs from the Wild Reeds.
- Deep Sea Diver @ The Bridge KC ‘Billboard Heart’ 13Aug25 - Jessica Dobson is formerly of the Shins and shreds of course, but now drives her own band and writes and leads deftly.
- Jade Bird on WNXP Nashville ‘Save Your Tears’ 25Jul25 - Americana from Nashville but originally from England. Tough breakup has her solo vs prior a cool band. Great full voice singer and 1 woman show now.
- Maya De Vitry on Mountain Stage West Virginia ‘Dream In Blue’ 10Ju25 - Awesome writer from Nashvilles with many pens for others. Now we here the real emotion and meaning behind her extensive catalog.
- Bad Bad Hats on The Current Various 18Jun25 - Too far under the radar; it is Minneapolis though.
- Humbird on Mountain Stage West Virginia ‘Ghost On The Porch’ 28Feb25 - Again stellar writing and playing; again Minneapolis.
