What modifies what here? What a great weather day today was, before it turns ski-friendly and I head to Summit. I hit the Ark in Pueblo hoping to not catch a fishermen hatch. Alas, I did (see upstream and downstream pics), but caught a number of 12-14"ers, including a brown, and a nice 19" cutbow too. It's been a while since I've even had a rod in my hand (beyond building) so that was nice. The browns were on their redds and the cutbows were feeding some behind the weirs - a red wire tung BH midge nymph w/ black peacock collar (weight), the silver surfer (small silver & blue mayfly) and the awesome midge (awesome realistic that is) all fooled fish I landed. I never had to change flies. I left after just a couple hours when I went up to Valco to a nearly full lot... sheesh.
The decent fish day and a early evacuation deserved a beer experiment, and it worked. The Fremont Brewing Head Full of Dynomite is a very good hazy IPA... yeah, that's Seattle, not Fremont Co. CO.
