Tom & Leslie and their friends Sue & Gary and Kala & I hiked out of Hoosier Pass north for some great views of Bross, Lincoln & Quandry. We weren't alone but had passed and even more crowded Quandry + McCoulough Gulch TH on the way. Wildflowers and views were awesome as was the company.
After down to Hoosier once again we headed out to the Blue Lks ~ via the
same road folks use to park for Quandry. We strangely followed to truck
towing flatbeds loaded with jeeps - dunno why as the road would've been
easier to take in their lone jeeps. Both upper & lower Blue Lk are
rated very poor for fishing but I took my rod out - I never rigged up.
Many columbine, including pure white, seen around the lake.
While I ignorantly didn't get the picture, we had excellent fish tacos & margs with Daryle & Yvette and Bruce & Janice on the gorgeous DeBalski townhome estate deck this evening.
