'Bows on the run were hefty today ~ I say it's the flows; the 120 cfs flushes out or exposes some larger fish. River was in good shape. I rolled out a smidge late so arrived at the top bridge ~9:30am; I dropped in quickly with 55° outside and a long line midge midge rig on RFT3 led by a black ice Perdigon jig; 1st in the weir structures... I caught some there on Pop Tops and larva of same coloration ~ but many saw the rig and moved. I caught many more as I moved upstream ~ there weren't that many folks at the campground section but there were 35 cars on the way out at 1:30pm (to beat any precipitation). I used midges till I observed a mayfly at noon and then fishing go even better on the RS2 and Destiny's Child imitations. I was fortunate to land a nice, but injured, 21" lady 'bow right next to a guy who could take the pic. The fight was pretty long on the 3 wt, which at times was bent entirely in half.
