Happy New Year ~ What A Long GR8 Trip It Is 01Jan24

We had a great day in Summit with special friends at dinner @ Bistro North and @ the Nest. Whoa... we all stayed up to welcome in 2024 and celebrated together. It was all great fun. We gathered at Bistro North with DD & Y, Steve & Donna, and Jim & Mary for an excellent meal highlighted by the scallop special appy and beef Wellington entree but everything was very good... mostly the comradery among a sharp team rarely assembled.

We moved up to the Nest for a New Year's Eve of friendship and frivolity. Despite quite a full meal we enjoyed killer charcuterie nosh and champagne provided by the Yohos and a fine cheese cake. Of course we mixed other libations all night. While Nashville played in the backgroud we saw celebrations come early, and then late in Las Vegas at 1am for us... we made it. Along the way we really enjoyed a game of Monikers with the well-aligned boys vs girls teams, where the boys prevailed!

The evening was pretty special...

Preceding the bigger meet up though, while the ladies shopped, Jim & I made a lap of the tarn in the White River NF. We all then hit ORB to try the new French Alps beers. A fine start to the stellar day.
