GR8 To Be On The PT Again ~ Wind & 600cfs Flows Didn't Deter Me 29Apr25

I went to Pueblo to fish the Nature Center section of the Ark Tailwater. Dubious with rising waters and 55° highs but I "needed" to get back ~ seeing as I blew off April, and the month is waning. I was pleased I went as I caught a number of fish without much angler competition; I saw one guy with his golden and he blew it off quickly in the hook hole ahead of me; I thought I'd need to go around him and skip that one. With heavy flows I tied on a 3 bead rig with oil can Perdigon, green Perdigon, and RS2. "Mayflies" worked today with Ps taking most and the RS2 landing some. One smaller fish took an Awesome Midge as I thought to see some midge activity~nah. The bigger fish seemed to be in the slower water runs above their large holes; I even was able to sight cast on occasion despite the high flows. The redds are now abandoned but the many ladies on the line today indicates they are super hungry after their time during the spawn.  I think so, but I was not here. The PT rocks as did the RF Ghost Cloud 5 wt: it shot the wind and landed all but my weak-ass set into a nearby tree ~ twice; grr... tying anew.
