I was aching to try the new Rodfather Power Pack rod so I set out in snowed and cold weather for the PT at the Nature Center. I was headed to Summit in the PM but I had to do it - in part 'casue I haven't been to the NC yet this year and I wanted to check status. It was sunny and still, which was nice, and ultimately reached 40°. Fish near the redds were evident but not many fish were righteously on them. The bite was not on today as most cutbows were jockeying for positions with big fish for spawning and ignored my bugs. Nonetheless I scored four over a 2-3 hours including some 18"s and a 19.5" male. The big weir had 4 huge fish I could not raise and I saw nice fish "everywhere." The RFPP dispatched itself well and was a blast to cast and wield for landing. It's experienced now. Midges scored including the Money Midge, the Awesome Midge, and the MHFB Zebra.
