We moved upstate to Napa to visit Mike Jordan & Betsy Kerr, our good friends from our time in Boston. Of course there is wine. We hit Miner and Sinsky and really liked Miner's stuff. M&B had to pick up 5 cases of wine there as they hadn't visited in a while and are members - needless to say our tasting was comped. Tastiest were the Tempranillo and Rosella Pinot Noir and Emily Cab. They had cool venue with neat inlaid flooring and keen glassware. We learned a lot about the Santa Lucia Highlands. At Sinsky choosing was harder 'cause they weren't as good and staff was odder. Back at the roost the wine sherpas served us very well.
Great food in Port Costa at Bull Valley Roadhouse with the entire Kerr-Jordan clan. Kala & I were joined by Mike & Betsy of course and their spawn, Tyler Jordan with Vanessa and Lisa Kerr-Jordan with Julani Anderson and the spunky Mazi; we were joined too by Sarah, Betsy's 2nd cousin. That was of course after an afternoon of tasting from Cave Jordan.
