The Good, The Bad and The Sublime 01Jul17

The bad news is that I headed to the marina to mount the headsail on Mon Ami and take a spin and my roller furler had ripped out of my mast. With travel and other issues in June I haven't taken the boat out yet and now likely can't until late July as we're headed to NorCal next weekend and it won't be fixed till then. Grrr
The good news is that I rejiggered plans and took a quick ride to Frisco. I enjoyed a new unfiltered IPA at Outer Range called Forested, on a gorgeous afternoon.
The sublime news is that I also took in my first concert of the season at Dillon Amphitheater. Chris Robinson Brotherhood, CRB, is a band borne from Black Crowes frontman and delivered a strong show of southern sounds mixed with California psychedelic jangly reminiscent of the Dead. The show was packed for this good band. I rode over on the bike and had a fun time as I ducked the Silverthorne police while enjoying Stone's new Ghost Hammer IPA; it features a crisp mix of many hops. Ghost Hammer is a reference to the sounds "the creatures" make in a nearly empty brewery during the night shift.
Sublime as well was the fact that after super-hot French biking, I awoke today to 36° and it rose to 86° - a 50° swing in <10 hours - wow.
