Return To The Headwaters & Brownville 01Aug20

Kala & I returned to the headwaters of the Ark today - on a weekend! We went to the cliffs area on the west side of the road instead this time, parking near the first big Rt 24 bridge over the Ark. The river is braided here and with Kala just in hiking stuff we couldn't reach some of the bigger and more fruitful flows. Nonetheless we caught some fish (mostly ~12"ers, smaller than earlier) and broke a rod. Kala's mighty cast broke the Winston 4wt but I survived with the drc#1 2wt. Gorgeous weather.
Once back from the river we hosted the Browns, including their kid Molly, her husband David Lupo (yea, like the wolf) and their three grandkids, James, Claire and Mary. Fine socially distanced party on the driveway. Ignoramus; I didn't get the event pic.
