I've only fished the Ark freestone once this year so I tried it today at ~900cfs in BHSC. I did a pass at Pinnacle Rock and caught one small and turned over another. Water is pretty high and stained still so I was using big bugs on the edges. A tan chubby and a purple or brown-green BH stonefly... purple worked better. I moved upstream to Rincon and made a pass there and caught a better one, a 14"-15" Scottish marked brown. I was wielding the Rodfather Diamond Blaze mostly from just in the water on the edge - no crossing at these flows. I rang Lehmann for grins as I was in his hood; he's in super-hot Arkansas right now so no meet-up. I needed to go to Summit to grab something and stopped at Kobe on the way there - more fishermen and better water it seemed on the headwaters but it started to rain again and I just headed to the Nest after lunch.
