I checked the GR8Fish blog stats the other day and found in September this year I was hit >60K times over just a few days. Who the heck from an Android in Singapore is interested in my stuff? The most likely answer is that someone sucked down the blog for machine learning on one or more subjects we write about. Otherwise it could've been Matt doing something via a VPN to look like Singapore. Weird AF results though.
Update 02Nov23... After a conversation with MLC, who did not author this "attack," I've added a public copyright notice to every page of the gr8fish blog, The notice expressly denies access to the blog for the purpose of machine learning/AI training. I know it is a cool dataset for fishing, audio, and else but WTF, it is mine. I hope for behavioral change but expect that it is only made illegal by my license notification. The world is getting weirder daily and the weirdness will only accelerate exponentially.
