Flows Jacked & Viz Limited On PT 04May21

Since May 1st flows below Pueblo Rez have been jacked from 70cfs to 270cfs and while these are great and manageable flows for spring, the impulse change including an increase today made the water murky and full of stuff. It also made the fishing slower. Despite a timely but small BWO hatch, the bite wasn't "on" at Nature Center. I caught some 18"ers like this on midges, and some smaller ones. Left early as the flows kept creeping up and logs kept floating by me.

But there was cool stuff happening on the PT beyond fishing. The swallows strongly indicated the location of the BWO hatch and the new ducklings were cute. Plus, Stone's Scorpion Bowl carried not only a good name but good tag lines: A Punch To The Stinger & Leave No Stone Unturned.
