Yes, that is an obtuse reference to the Moody Blues. Qobuz does seem to have good source material from UK bands; there are a number of HiRez remasters of the masters... often with the owners of the material at the re-mastering consoles. A concept album for sure, their 2nd studio offering, and outstanding from a catalog of outstanding stuff, but not touching In Search Of A Lost Chord, of which there were no updates or hi-rez versions.
Now on to the post title, and the real intent here... I skied the late AM of April Fool's Day at Keystone solo, arriving just before noon. Even then the entry to North Mtn on Diamondback was treacherously frozen despite outside temp being ~36° when dropping in. Nonetheless, I braved many a lift on North & The Outback (Wapiti), but hung on the groomers to avoid the ice. I turned on Strava like GregL might do, so know I hit >50mph... what was I thinking? Fortunately the sun ultimately graced the ice, turning it to keen spring corn, and I caught a number of good softer runs off Ruby (capturing great south-facing sunshine) in the afternoon before packing it in.
I was fortunate to capture a rare Voz-sighting in Summit and to garner an invite to introduce him to some new lines @ A Basin. We had a blast on mostly reasonable snow. He's EuroVoz because, as not atypical, he displayed some keen skills with tight parallels and stellar stances. I get it; he shared that "in the day" he rode the mono-ski on CO's steeps - maybe in jeans. My stance was, as anticipated, my stance, a bit fast & a smidge furious. We got the new stuff covered via the Beavers and Zuma lifts but did not climb the hike out ridge to chute 2 as some did. What a blast as we willed the sun to warm some even better runs after lunch.
