Arkansas River In BHSC 02Apr17

GL & I let out for BHSC on a great weather day Sunday. Far from epic, we did catch some fish. The flows were excellent for wading and the water was decently clear, but far from "gin," given recent precipitation. The water was cold too - despite the sun and warmish temps - even in the PM. We stopped @ Pinnacle Rock - I caught a number of fish in the AM - all 12" browns like these - mostly on FBPT and black mojo midge. Fishing was sloooooow both AM and PM. No luck on caddis  yet but there was evidence on sticks in the water. We had a good lunch starting with Hercules and Pringles and closing with spicy turkey sammy and salt carmel dark chocolate (and a new Stone Ripper Pale Ale).
