Blue River @ Jurassic Pk 13Apr17

Yah - hit Summit Co, 'cause it serves as home a lot - gotta test it in the spring, and SoCO Ark tail is raging... and the beer is better. Nah, it's the end of ski season too. It was a a frustrating start to the day after nice french toast at the Mountain Lion (who'd climb out of Jurassic Pk for lunch alone?; therefor, a big breakfast). Beautiful 58° at the TH into Jurassic Pk and I was the ONLY guy in parking at 10:30am. That's not frustrating, but the strikeless first 2 hours was! Noon was bug-time big-time (BWOs) but the fish did not hit my offers at "Dave's Corner" of the Blue. Yep, I crossed again to advantage my attack - doable at 200cfs. So much bug sign; so little fish sign; I dipped the thermometer to test as it felt cold but it was 54°. I passed the tongue at Dave's Corner 4 times (DD can attest this an anomaly - except at this spot) with different bug styles and was denied - not even a strike. I sat and contemplated in the sun and took the the pano. Then, I moved on... and finally started catching fish about 1pm. Ultimately lots of browns and 'bow. I missed DD's 'bow after having him on but losing him... at least I thought it might be "his" as I was in the same spot and caught him behind the same big rock. I lost two other beast-like 'bows more wily than me as they broke my rig on rocks after decent fights. Here are some of the fish, preceded by Dave's Corner pan and the Dave head before droppin' in. I followed the day again at Outer Range and caught Larry & The Losers (5 strings, 4 vocalists and drums) as well as some more great DIPAs... very fun and a very cool vibe.
