I don't care how much skiing you do, and it's less this year for a couple reasons, but your ass is rarely ready for the early 30 miler lest you ride inside. After fixing the Broadaxe I wanted a test and a ride on a nice day outside in COS. I stole out from Blodgett to America The Beautiful and beyond and back to the house. Tough last 1200ft climb after the ride but yea... the Broadaxe survived while my ass, less so.
While I can get 3Mbps streaming from Blodgett servers to Nest clients, I am a bit bummed about track to track switching/buffering time in the Nest Theater. So, I am replicating the Music Store to have a mountain copy. I can synchronize small changes but the initial 1 TB copy will take a while. The latest 2TB flash drive from Samsung, acquired for the role, is tiny and awesome. That's a pre-virus quarter if you are wondering. Only one day of copy time... wow.
I also scored a Roku Ultimate for YouTube and other streaming clients as the existing XD (gen 2) was too slow too. It still won't do HD audio but I really like YouTube for the live studio radio shows. I plan to come back to the audio system DAC with PCM 2 channel from the TV optical out port eventually - they do convert from HDMI sources now, unlike in prior TVs. Major electronic appliances are so small these days; amazing.
